Editorial policy
Thoughtful Journal aims to make useful, clearly scoped material for general readers. We distinguish explanation from opinion, take care with factual statements and make it straightforward to flag a possible error.
Accuracy and scope
We check factual claims against suitable information available for the topic and revise wording that overstates what is known. Articles should explain their limits and avoid turning a general observation into a claim that applies to every household or situation.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers, not to guarantee a favourable description of a product or partner. Any commercial relationship connected to published material is disclosed clearly, and partners do not receive an implied editorial endorsement.
Corrections
Readers can contact Thoughtful Journal through the Contact page to report a possible error. We review the concern, correct material when warranted and make meaningful changes clear to readers.
Partner and sponsored material
Material created with a partner or supported by a commercial arrangement is labelled where it appears. A label should make the relationship understandable before a reader relies on the material; ordinary editorial coverage is not presented as a paid recommendation.
